HR Business Partner - onboarding (Detroit, MI)

Bright Sparrow Farms grows and distributes produce from farms near Detroit, and we need an HR Business Partner to lead our onboarding. Seasons are busy and the rest of the year is for planning. What you will do • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on packing house output. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. What we are looking for • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. • Discreet, fair and direct. • Three or more years in HR. Nice to have • SHRM or HRCI certification. • Experience with packing house output. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Detroit. • We reply to every applicant.
