HR Business Partner - onboarding (Detroit, MI)

We are growing our team at Westbrook Amber Construction and adding an HR Business Partner whose main responsibility will be onboarding. Site safety is non-negotiable. What you will do • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on safety records. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. What we are looking for • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. • Three or more years in HR. • Discreet, fair and direct. Nice to have • SHRM or HRCI certification. • Experience with safety records. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Detroit. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
