HR Business Partner - onboarding (Detroit, MI)

We are growing our team at Harborlight Orchard Freight and adding an HR Business Partner whose main responsibility will be onboarding. On-time is the promise and we work hard to keep it. What you will do • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on customer tracking. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. What we are looking for • Discreet, fair and direct. • Three or more years in HR. • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. Nice to have • SHRM or HRCI certification. • Experience with customer tracking. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Detroit. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
