HR Business Partner - onboarding (Detroit, MI)

We are growing our team at Summit Granite Water Authority Group and adding an HR Business Partner whose main responsibility will be onboarding. Our work is invisible when it goes well, and we are proud of that. What you will do • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on capital projects. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. What we are looking for • Discreet, fair and direct. • Three or more years in HR. • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. Nice to have • Experience with capital projects. • SHRM or HRCI certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Detroit, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
