HR Business Partner - onboarding (Detroit, MI)

We are growing our team at Fernwood Wren Freight and adding an HR Business Partner whose main responsibility will be onboarding. You would join a small organisation of about 191 people based in Detroit. What you will do • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on customer tracking. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. What we are looking for • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. • Discreet, fair and direct. • Three or more years in HR. Nice to have • SHRM or HRCI certification. • Experience with customer tracking. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Detroit. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
