HR Business Partner - onboarding (Des Moines, IA)

Fernwood Ridge Insurance is looking for an HR Business Partner. The job centres on onboarding for policy renewals, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 82 people based in Des Moines. What you will do • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on policy renewals. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. What we are looking for • Three or more years in HR. • Discreet, fair and direct. • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. Nice to have • Experience with policy renewals. • SHRM or HRCI certification. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Des Moines, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
