HR Business Partner - onboarding (Chicago, IL)

Ironwood Haven Construction delivers building projects for owners across the Chicago region. We are hiring an HR Business Partner to take on onboarding. Site safety is non-negotiable. What you will do • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on materials orders. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. What we are looking for • Discreet, fair and direct. • Three or more years in HR. • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. Nice to have • SHRM or HRCI certification. • Experience with materials orders. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Chicago. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
