HR Business Partner - onboarding (Chicago, IL)

Fernwood Ashton Freight is looking for an HR Business Partner. The job centres on onboarding for carrier rates, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 26 people based in Chicago. What you will do • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on carrier rates. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. What we are looking for • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. • Discreet, fair and direct. • Three or more years in HR. Nice to have • SHRM or HRCI certification. • Experience with carrier rates. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Chicago. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
