HR Business Partner - onboarding (Birmingham, AL)

Lumen Orchard Farms Group supplies farm and food customers across the Birmingham region, and we need an HR Business Partner to lead our onboarding. Seasons are busy and the rest of the year is for planning. What you will do • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on grower contracts. What we are looking for • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. • Discreet, fair and direct. • Three or more years in HR. Nice to have • SHRM or HRCI certification. • Experience with grower contracts. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Birmingham, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
