HR Business Partner - manager coaching (San Jose, CA)

Highbridge Pike Insurance sells home, auto and small-business insurance in San Jose, and we need an HR Business Partner to lead our manager coaching. You would join a small organisation of about 32 people based in San Jose. What you will do • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on catastrophe response. What we are looking for • Three or more years in HR. • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. • Discreet, fair and direct. Nice to have • SHRM or HRCI certification. • Experience with catastrophe response. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in San Jose, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
