HR Business Partner - manager coaching (San Jose, CA)

Nova Thistle Construction builds commercial and industrial projects around San Jose, and we need an HR Business Partner to lead our manager coaching. You would join a small organisation of about 60 people based in San Jose. What you will do • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on project schedules. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. What we are looking for • Three or more years in HR. • Discreet, fair and direct. • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. Nice to have • SHRM or HRCI certification. • Experience with project schedules. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in San Jose, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
