HR Business Partner - manager coaching (Oakland, CA)

We are growing our team at Fernwood Thistle Learning Group and adding an HR Business Partner whose main responsibility will be manager coaching. You would join a small organisation of about 46 people based in Oakland. What you will do • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on learning materials. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. What we are looking for • Three or more years in HR. • Discreet, fair and direct. • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. Nice to have • Experience with learning materials. • SHRM or HRCI certification. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Oakland. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
