HR Business Partner - manager coaching (Oakland, CA)

Northwind Clear Farms supplies farm and food customers across the Oakland region. We are hiring an HR Business Partner to take on manager coaching. Weather sets the schedule, and we plan around it. What you will do • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on harvest schedules. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. What we are looking for • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. • Three or more years in HR. • Discreet, fair and direct. Nice to have • Experience with harvest schedules. • SHRM or HRCI certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Oakland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
