HR Business Partner - manager coaching (New Orleans, LA)

Fernwood Iron Construction is looking for an HR Business Partner. The job centres on manager coaching for subcontractor invoices, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 21 people based in New Orleans. What you will do • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on subcontractor invoices. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. What we are looking for • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. • Three or more years in HR. • Discreet, fair and direct. Nice to have • SHRM or HRCI certification. • Experience with subcontractor invoices. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in New Orleans, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
