HR Business Partner - manager coaching (Detroit, MI)

Ironwood Quill Civic Services provides shared administrative services to local governments around Detroit, and we need an HR Business Partner to lead our manager coaching. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Detroit. What you will do • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on public records. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. What we are looking for • Three or more years in HR. • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. • Discreet, fair and direct. Nice to have • Experience with public records. • SHRM or HRCI certification. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Detroit. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
