HR Business Partner - manager coaching (Detroit, MI)

We are growing our team at Northwind Timber Insurance Group and adding an HR Business Partner whose main responsibility will be manager coaching. We care about how people feel on the worst day of their year. What you will do • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on customer complaints. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. What we are looking for • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. • Discreet, fair and direct. • Three or more years in HR. Nice to have • Experience with customer complaints. • SHRM or HRCI certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Detroit, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
