HR Business Partner - leave and accommodations (Virginia Beach, VA)

Fernwood Pine Staffing places workers with employers around Virginia Beach, and we need an HR Business Partner to lead our leave and accommodations. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on retention. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. What we are looking for • Three or more years in HR. • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. • Discreet, fair and direct. Nice to have • Experience with retention. • SHRM or HRCI certification. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Virginia Beach. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
