HR Business Partner - leave and accommodations (San Jose, CA)

Summit Mill Environmental Services collects and processes waste and recycling around San Jose, and we need an HR Business Partner to lead our leave and accommodations. We take pride in clean streets. What you will do • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on collection routes. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. What we are looking for • Three or more years in HR. • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. • Discreet, fair and direct. Nice to have • Experience with collection routes. • SHRM or HRCI certification. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in San Jose. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
