HR Business Partner - leave and accommodations (remote)

Summit Field Water Authority supplies drinking water and treats wastewater for Detroit and nearby communities. We are hiring an HR Business Partner to take on leave and accommodations. Our work is invisible when it goes well, and we are proud of that. What you will do • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on meter reading. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. What we are looking for • Three or more years in HR. • Discreet, fair and direct. • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. Nice to have • Experience with meter reading. • SHRM or HRCI certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Detroit. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
