HR Business Partner - leave and accommodations (remote)

Fernwood Ashton Freight is a Chicago logistics company with trucks, warehouses and dispatch, and we need an HR Business Partner to lead our leave and accommodations. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on loads and lanes. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. What we are looking for • Discreet, fair and direct. • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. • Three or more years in HR. Nice to have • Experience with loads and lanes. • SHRM or HRCI certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Chicago. • We reply to every applicant.
