HR Business Partner - leave and accommodations (remote)

Nova Summit Construction is a Buffalo contractor with project managers, trades and support staff, and we need an HR Business Partner to lead our leave and accommodations. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on project schedules. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. What we are looking for • Discreet, fair and direct. • Three or more years in HR. • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. Nice to have • Experience with project schedules. • SHRM or HRCI certification. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Buffalo. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
