HR Business Partner - leave and accommodations (remote)

Cedar West Freight moves freight for manufacturers and retailers out of Honolulu. We are hiring an HR Business Partner to take on leave and accommodations. On-time is the promise and we work hard to keep it. What you will do • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on carrier rates. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. What we are looking for • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. • Discreet, fair and direct. • Three or more years in HR. Nice to have • Experience with carrier rates. • SHRM or HRCI certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Honolulu. • We reply to every applicant.
