HR Business Partner - leave and accommodations (remote)

Cedar North Insurance Partners sells home, auto and small-business insurance in Buffalo, and we need an HR Business Partner to lead our leave and accommodations. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on underwriting files. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. What we are looking for • Discreet, fair and direct. • Three or more years in HR. • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. Nice to have • SHRM or HRCI certification. • Experience with underwriting files. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Buffalo. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
