HR Business Partner - leave and accommodations (remote)

Bright Fern Freight Group is a Virginia Beach logistics company with trucks, warehouses and dispatch, and we need an HR Business Partner to lead our leave and accommodations. On-time is the promise and we work hard to keep it. What you will do • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on carrier rates. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. What we are looking for • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. • Discreet, fair and direct. • Three or more years in HR. Nice to have • SHRM or HRCI certification. • Experience with carrier rates. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Virginia Beach. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
