HR Business Partner - leave and accommodations (remote)

Nova Kestrel Community Partners is a nonprofit in Knoxville supporting families with food, housing and job help. We are hiring an HR Business Partner to take on leave and accommodations. Mission matters here, and so does looking after staff. What you will do • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on volunteer shifts. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. What we are looking for • Three or more years in HR. • Discreet, fair and direct. • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. Nice to have • SHRM or HRCI certification. • Experience with volunteer shifts. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Knoxville. • We reply to every applicant.
