HR Business Partner - leave and accommodations (remote)

Summit Pine Markets is a Chicago retailer with stores, a distribution centre and online ordering, and we need an HR Business Partner to lead our leave and accommodations. We like people who know our customers by name. What you will do • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on promotions. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. What we are looking for • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. • Discreet, fair and direct. • Three or more years in HR. Nice to have • Experience with promotions. • SHRM or HRCI certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Chicago. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
