HR Business Partner - leave and accommodations (Oakland, CA)

Redstone Cedar Legal Group provides legal services in Oakland across employment, housing and small-business law, and we need an HR Business Partner to lead our leave and accommodations. You would join a small organisation of about 126 people based in Oakland. What you will do • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on document review. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. What we are looking for • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. • Three or more years in HR. • Discreet, fair and direct. Nice to have • Experience with document review. • SHRM or HRCI certification. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Oakland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
