HR Business Partner - leave and accommodations (Oakland, CA)

Summit North Staffing connects candidates and employers across the Oakland region, and we need an HR Business Partner to lead our leave and accommodations. You would join a small organisation of about 21 people based in Oakland. What you will do • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on onboarding. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. What we are looking for • Discreet, fair and direct. • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. • Three or more years in HR. Nice to have • SHRM or HRCI certification. • Experience with onboarding. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Oakland. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
