HR Business Partner - leave and accommodations (Oakland, CA)

Northwind Rook Staffing places workers with employers around Oakland. We are hiring an HR Business Partner to take on leave and accommodations. You would join a small organisation of about 16 people based in Oakland. What you will do • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on onboarding. What we are looking for • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. • Discreet, fair and direct. • Three or more years in HR. Nice to have • SHRM or HRCI certification. • Experience with onboarding. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Oakland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
