HR Business Partner - leave and accommodations (Oakland, CA)

Harborlight Mill Freight coordinates shipments and warehousing around Oakland. We are hiring an HR Business Partner to take on leave and accommodations. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Oakland. What you will do • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on dock schedules. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. What we are looking for • Three or more years in HR. • Discreet, fair and direct. • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. Nice to have • Experience with dock schedules. • SHRM or HRCI certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Oakland. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
