HR Business Partner - leave and accommodations (Hartford, CT)

Nova Amber Insurance Group provides coverage to households and businesses around Hartford, and we need an HR Business Partner to lead our leave and accommodations. You would join a small organisation of about 72 people based in Hartford. What you will do • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on underwriting files. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. What we are looking for • Discreet, fair and direct. • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. • Three or more years in HR. Nice to have • Experience with underwriting files. • SHRM or HRCI certification. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Hartford, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
