HR Business Partner - leave and accommodations (Hartford, CT)

Ironwood Fern Transit Planning Group is a transit-planning firm in Hartford working with agencies and riders. We are hiring an HR Business Partner to take on leave and accommodations. We value plain explanations. What you will do • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on survey data. What we are looking for • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. • Discreet, fair and direct. • Three or more years in HR. Nice to have • Experience with survey data. • SHRM or HRCI certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Hartford. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
