HR Business Partner - leave and accommodations (Detroit, MI)

Fernwood Loom Auto Group is a Detroit company supplying vehicle parts and service. We are hiring an HR Business Partner to take on leave and accommodations. You would join a small organisation of about 118 people based in Detroit. What you will do • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on parts orders. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. What we are looking for • Three or more years in HR. • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. • Discreet, fair and direct. Nice to have • Experience with parts orders. • SHRM or HRCI certification. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Detroit, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
