HR Business Partner - leave and accommodations (Detroit, MI)

Highbridge Harbor Environmental Services is an environmental-services company in Detroit with routes, transfer stations and recycling, and we need an HR Business Partner to lead our leave and accommodations. Safety briefings happen every morning. What you will do • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on collection routes. What we are looking for • Three or more years in HR. • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. • Discreet, fair and direct. Nice to have • SHRM or HRCI certification. • Experience with collection routes. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Detroit. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
