HR Business Partner - leave and accommodations (Detroit, MI)

Foxglove Yarrow Civic Services supports public agencies in Detroit with budgeting, records and programmes, and we need an HR Business Partner to lead our leave and accommodations. You would join a small organisation of about 36 people based in Detroit. What you will do • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on permits. What we are looking for • Discreet, fair and direct. • Three or more years in HR. • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. Nice to have • SHRM or HRCI certification. • Experience with permits. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Detroit, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
