HR Business Partner - leave and accommodations (Detroit, MI)

We are growing our team at Harborlight Amber Housing and adding an HR Business Partner whose main responsibility will be leave and accommodations. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on rent assistance. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. What we are looking for • Three or more years in HR. • Discreet, fair and direct. • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. Nice to have • Experience with rent assistance. • SHRM or HRCI certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Detroit, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
