HR Business Partner - leave and accommodations (Des Moines, IA)

Clearpath Birch Legal Group is a law firm in Des Moines serving businesses and individuals, and we need an HR Business Partner to lead our leave and accommodations. You would join a small organisation of about 33 people based in Des Moines. What you will do • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on client files. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. What we are looking for • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. • Discreet, fair and direct. • Three or more years in HR. Nice to have • Experience with client files. • SHRM or HRCI certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Des Moines. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
