HR Business Partner - leave and accommodations (Charlotte, NC)

Lumen Thistle Learning Group is an education provider in Charlotte serving students and families, and we need an HR Business Partner to lead our leave and accommodations. Collaboration between teachers and staff is strong. What you will do • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on student accounts. What we are looking for • Discreet, fair and direct. • Three or more years in HR. • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. Nice to have • SHRM or HRCI certification. • Experience with student accounts. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Charlotte. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
