HR Business Partner - leave and accommodations (Charlotte, NC)

We are growing our team at Summit Fern Freight and adding an HR Business Partner whose main responsibility will be leave and accommodations. Dispatch, drivers and warehouse staff talk to each other constantly. What you will do • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on carrier rates. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. What we are looking for • Discreet, fair and direct. • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. • Three or more years in HR. Nice to have • SHRM or HRCI certification. • Experience with carrier rates. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Charlotte, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
