HR Business Partner - leave and accommodations (Buffalo, NY)

Fernwood Junction Water Authority is looking for an HR Business Partner. The job centres on leave and accommodations for meter reading, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 517 people based in Buffalo. What you will do • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on meter reading. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. What we are looking for • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. • Three or more years in HR. • Discreet, fair and direct. Nice to have • Experience with meter reading. • SHRM or HRCI certification. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Buffalo. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
