HR Business Partner - leave and accommodations (Birmingham, AL)

Northwind Nest Manufacturing manufactures parts and assemblies at its Birmingham plant. We are hiring an HR Business Partner to take on leave and accommodations. You would join a small organisation of about 42 people based in Birmingham. What you will do • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on work orders. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. What we are looking for • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. • Discreet, fair and direct. • Three or more years in HR. Nice to have • SHRM or HRCI certification. • Experience with work orders. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Birmingham, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
