HR Business Partner - leave and accommodations (Baltimore, MD)

Harborlight Lantern Water Authority supplies drinking water and treats wastewater for Baltimore and nearby communities, and we need an HR Business Partner to lead our leave and accommodations. Crews and office staff work closely together. What you will do • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on treatment plant data. What we are looking for • Discreet, fair and direct. • Three or more years in HR. • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. Nice to have • SHRM or HRCI certification. • Experience with treatment plant data. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Baltimore, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
