HR Business Partner - employee relations (Virginia Beach, VA)

We are growing our team at Nova Lantern Insurance and adding an HR Business Partner whose main responsibility will be employee relations. We care about how people feel on the worst day of their year. What you will do • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on catastrophe response. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. What we are looking for • Three or more years in HR. • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. • Discreet, fair and direct. Nice to have • Experience with catastrophe response. • SHRM or HRCI certification. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Virginia Beach, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
