HR Business Partner - employee relations (Virginia Beach, VA)

Nova Forge Transit Planning Group plans bus and rail service for cities around Virginia Beach, and we need an HR Business Partner to lead our employee relations. We like people who ride the bus and notice when things do not work. What you will do • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on route schedules. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. What we are looking for • Discreet, fair and direct. • Three or more years in HR. • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. Nice to have • SHRM or HRCI certification. • Experience with route schedules. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Virginia Beach. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
