HR Business Partner - employee relations (St. Louis, MO)

Fernwood West Freight Group is looking for an HR Business Partner. The job centres on employee relations for loads and lanes, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Dispatch, drivers and warehouse staff talk to each other constantly. What you will do • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on loads and lanes. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. What we are looking for • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. • Discreet, fair and direct. • Three or more years in HR. Nice to have • Experience with loads and lanes. • SHRM or HRCI certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in St. Louis, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
