HR Business Partner - employee relations (San Jose, CA)

Lumen North Insurance Group is an insurance company in San Jose with claims and service teams, and we need an HR Business Partner to lead our employee relations. Claims teams work together and share what they learn. What you will do • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on premium billing. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. What we are looking for • Three or more years in HR. • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. • Discreet, fair and direct. Nice to have • SHRM or HRCI certification. • Experience with premium billing. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in San Jose, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
