HR Business Partner - employee relations (San Jose, CA)

Nova Granite Construction is looking for an HR Business Partner. The job centres on employee relations for project schedules, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We build things that last and we are honest about schedules. What you will do • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on project schedules. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. What we are looking for • Three or more years in HR. • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. • Discreet, fair and direct. Nice to have • Experience with project schedules. • SHRM or HRCI certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in San Jose. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
