HR Business Partner - employee relations (San Jose, CA)

We are growing our team at Fernwood Quill Banking Services and adding an HR Business Partner whose main responsibility will be employee relations. You would join a small organisation of about 23 people based in San Jose. What you will do • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on card disputes. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. What we are looking for • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. • Discreet, fair and direct. • Three or more years in HR. Nice to have • SHRM or HRCI certification. • Experience with card disputes. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in San Jose. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
