HR Business Partner - employee relations (San Diego, CA)

Lumen Cobalt Press produces print and digital publications in San Diego, and we need an HR Business Partner to lead our employee relations. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in San Diego. What you will do • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on press runs. What we are looking for • Discreet, fair and direct. • Three or more years in HR. • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. Nice to have • SHRM or HRCI certification. • Experience with press runs. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in San Diego. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
