HR Business Partner - employee relations (remote)

Summit Junction Insurance sells home, auto and small-business insurance in Rochester, and we need an HR Business Partner to lead our employee relations. Claims teams work together and share what they learn. What you will do • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on catastrophe response. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. What we are looking for • Discreet, fair and direct. • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. • Three or more years in HR. Nice to have • Experience with catastrophe response. • SHRM or HRCI certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Rochester. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
